Ace x Coffee
come get caffeinated this weekend (11/22) + a short exploration of Ace Hotel
📣 design x tech founders!
Come grab coffee with us at a glorious Nomad hotel known for its creative energy and historical charm this Saturday (11/22)
Ace hotel is in the center of Manhattan, right off Broadway - not far from the theater district. Built in 1904, it was originally home to the Hotel Breslin, and naturally attracted some famous artists, musicians, and performers of the time.
Created by Alex Calderwood, Wade Weigel, and Doug Herrick, it’s now an international chain, with a focus on the creative community. This location was bought and renovated by Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors in 2008. They kept the original charm beautifully by preserving the grand columns, the stained glass ceiling and mosaic floors, and also weaving in a punk styling with bold typographic branding, mixed custom and vintage furniture and graphic art, and also a solid taxidermy display because, why not.
It feels effortlessly thrown together in a way that 🤌 just makes sense, not over-designed. The result is classic New York. Timeless, unapologetic, but cozy - the perfect backdrop for the creative class it attracts.
That’s why Ace is the perfect space to host an iconic mixer for the bold ones forging their own paths in the design + tech space. Let’s guzzle some caffeine, soak in a piece of history, and share ideas that are building the future.
